Gosport Rotary Vintage Car rally

GOSPORT Rotary Club’s Vehicle Rally and Family Day is now in its 72nd year – and this year takes place on Monday, August 31st.

Every August Bank Holiday weekend, the Rotary club takes over the playing fields at Stokes Bay to host a display of scores of vintage vehicles from across the region. Such is the event’s reputation, that the owners of a range of impressive vehicles head to the south coast each summer especially to take part in the show.

But you don’t have to be a petrol-head to enjoy the event. This is a family day by the Solent – and the sun normally shines brightly! Besides the array of gleaming car, bikes and trucks, there will be a feast of entertainment including a samba band, a petting farm, Juggling Jake’s circus skills, a range of different stalls, plus refreshments.

The vehicle classes are:

• Cars pre-1975
• Cars post-1975
• Large & Special Purpose Vehicles
• Motorcycles & three-wheelers

Entries for all cars and large vehicles will be £5, and motor bikes will be £3.

If you want your vehicle to be judged, and also if you want to be sited on the field with a particular car club or group, then complete those sections on the booking form. As we need time to plan out the field at Stokes Bay, you can do this before August 11th. After that date, you can still enter a vehicle, but it will not be judged or parked with a car club or group.

All children go free, and £4 admission for each adult. All proceeds from the day go to the Mayor of Gosport’s charities and Gosport Rotary Club’s Benevolent Fund.
